Imagine the late afternoon sun, casting a warm glow on the land and sea as family members are returning home from their day, ready to dine together. The setting sun appears to make everything it touches shine. The term ‘Mediterranean’ means “in the middle of earth” or “between lands”. From the 21 countries surrounding the Sea comes food as extraordinary as the region itself. However diverse, one common theme to Mediterranean eating is that it is intended to be a social event – consumed at leisure with family and friends. When you’re in the Mediterranean, you savor your food.
