It all started one day in 2012…
Lucy and Jeremy got in line for an audition…and a representative of the actor’s union threatened to call the cops and have them arrested for loitering. A few hours later, at yet another audition, Lucy started to perform her monologue…and was interrupted by a small dog harassing her leg as Jeremy watched in horror. It was only noon. And from that point on, the stories just started writing themselves.
Way The F*** Off Broadway is the brainchild of best friends Lucy Zukaitis and Jeremy Sonkin. It’s a web series that chronicles the experience of two actors struggling to make a living in the Chicago entertainment industry. It follows their journey as they endure scores of ridiculous auditions in hopes of getting work, all the while balancing their numerous survival jobs and trying to find happiness and fulfillment in their lives. Though some stories are embellished slightly for entertainment value: every episode is inspired by true events.
