This short film was shot in October of 2017. Director of Photography Jason Kraynek on RED Dragon Cameras. Director Michael Lucas and Production company – Very Cool Videos.
Pre-production scouting consisted of 1 day, while filming took 2 (using inside locations blacked out during the day and outside for the night scene). Inside apartment scenes were shot using crew members’ rented rooms. Outside bike shots were close by that. For the night stairwell scene, we used the outside of the director’s apartment complex, while all ‘basement’ shots were done in the storage space of that building.
The crew was very small and the budget was zero. I brought everything that I owned to shoot this project and was very happy with how it came out. I color-graded the frames to achieve the look and images shown, though the final film was never finished or released (reason unknown).
