Doritos | Passion of the Chip

“Passion of the Chip” was shot in a day for the Superbowl Doritos contest in 2011, based on an idea I came up with about an overly excited football fan watching the game with a friend. Due to time constraints with the 30-second commercial I had to cut a lot of the initial story (and some of what we even shot) in order to fit the limits.

Great work from Ethan and Rodney, we roughed out the improv and ideas onset and the result is one of my favorite filmed shorts to date.

_{This commercial is still one of my favorite projects that I have worked on, and my very first spec contest commercial. The idea was sheer improv and crazy, like I used to write back in the sketch comedy days, and having 2 actors I trusted with me – helped a ton. Ethan, Rodney, and Danny worked with me on my first feature film “Heaven is Hell” and Laura worked with me on various projects back in the studio days.}
