Documentary Interviews for the Chicago Catholic Theological Union, for their upcoming educational courses and programs. Shot on Canon c300 mark II and c70 cameras by Cinematographer Jason Kraynek.
The mission of the Catholic Theological Union is to prepare effective leaders for the Church, ready to witness Christ’s good news of justice, love, and peace.
Fifty years ago, a bold and unique model of Catholic theological education was born. In September 1968,
embracing the urban and university setting of Hyde Park, Chicago, and driven by a collaborative and ecumenical spirit, the Catholic Theological Union opened its doors. CTU has now grown to be a premier school of theology and ministry, sponsored by twenty-four religious communities and enjoying a global reputation for excellence.
This was a solo gig, with me having to take on all roles as DP, 2 Camera Operation, Gaffer, Audio, and then post Colorist. Shot over the course of 2 days at the Chicago CTU location. There were a few different Producers asking the questions while I worried about supervising and running everything else.
Overall I feel things came together nicely and I was able to navigate the schedules with the help of on site advisors and staff who were extremely helpful and nice.
