This shoot consisted of 4 different looks/moods of a single subject. I shot all 4 over the course of a day, due to time restrictions, and it being a free creative project for all of us. We had a day of scouting and planning at the location, along with a day to work out details over coffee.

Overall I was happy with how things turned out in camera and how creative we could get for each different room in a single house with only hair, makeup, outfit, and lighting changes.

LOOK 1 – the Mod

Lit by front window sunlight, Aputure Ls1s for backlight, Litepanels Astra for color and Hive light for outside sun+ kick. Shot in the front living room after removing all furniture and adding some heavy haze.

LOOK 2 – the Crazy

Location 2 was upstairs in the bathroom and was the darkest one. Lit by a single Litepanels Astra hanging above on the shower rod with a red gel. This one was water based so we knew it would take some time for setup and changeover, but I love the things I managed to get in such a restrictive space.

LOOK 3 – the Natural

We moved into the bedroom for the next phase, this time using just the bed and some highlighted windows. Lit by a Quasar 4ft crossfade, Aputure Ls1S and ambient sunlight.

LOOK 4 – the Glam

The final look of the night had to be completely dark so once the sun went down we did what I think is the best of the bunch. Lit by a projector, Aputure Ls1s for teal side, Quasar science 4ft crossfade for side rim and Aputure 120t for front fill
