Temporary DistortionThe Illusion & The Aftermath is a performance of live music that unfolds slowly over several hours for a meditating audience. Meditation cushions and headphones are provided for the audience, who may come and go as they wish, staying for only as long as they would like. For someone in the room without headphones, the performance is virtually silent.

The Illusion & The Aftermath was made possible with support from a Composer Commission awarded by New York State Council on the Arts. Additional support is made possible by the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of Governor Andrew Cuomo and the New York State Legislature and additional support, in part, by public funds from the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs in partnership with the City Council. Residency support is provided by The Watermill Center and Ideal Glass Gallery.

This was a live music performance event piece that we shot continuously for 6 hours. My crew consisted of myself as Cinematographer / Camera Operator along with 2 other opts and a DIT. The second day I shot b-roll to intermix with the footage for the edit.
