Rumored to be “demented instrumental acid-rock with robotic melodies that sound like party music from an episode of Doctor Who” or “a three-way tug-of-war between frisky, soulful garage rock, frenetic funk, and swaggering 70s proto-metal” – Protovulcan is actually just Deric Criss (Aleks and the Drummer, Walking Bicycles) on drums and Will MacLean (formerly of Mercury Rev offshoot Variety Lights) on Moog bass, Wurlitzer, and vocoder.

Shot over the course of a day within 2 rooms located inside the Chicago Electric Piano Company building with friend and fellow director, Andy Ramsey. I mainly used the Cinevate Atlas jib the whole day with the RED mounted on top and moving the whole time. This was also the first time I got to use a smoke machine on set for a music video after buying mine (so that was an extra bonus and the footage excels because of it I feel).
