6 short films for the video contest site, Zooppa, and their client Alberto VO5 Extreme Style hair products.
The idea was to make a day in the life of a girl who is taunted and terrorized by a frizzy wig that acts like an annoying big brother. Shot in a day and edited over the course of 3 into a full version and subsequent shorts taken from the footage as the client wanted 15, 30, and 90-sec versions. The idea was to end the video with hairspray but when I tried to buy some I found that all they had was conditioner, so in a frantic “we shoot this tomorrow, think of a new ending” I came up with the powerful blast in the conditioner version- and kept the spray in version B (as I found spray in the second store).
As with most of my ideas, I try to keep everything I can practical and in-camera, so all the wig actions were moved off/under the camera and the only AE work was done with the blast at the end.
