Got to meet up with my old friend AmberO who was in town for her new social media job

Of which i was very jealous to hear all about and hope to one day be able to get invovled in (details later)

Other then the same thing that happens when the two of us meet up it was also laced with

- someone calling me Rod Stewart

- me spilling a full New Castle, sober

- someone calling me Iggy Pop, then ranting about peoples choices for 5 mins

- Ambers sudo-father David Bowie watching over us having dinner

- us almost running into the guy from Harold and Kumar

- and a slew of other things that all lead up to the next meeting coming up soon

All and all, I miss her very much and am gald that I got a chance to see her, and will get to see her again often

Its nice to be getting back into shooting again
I thank my friends who have helped so far
I’ve been able to take about 3 shoots since getting the new camera
it will be up to at least 5 by this weekend

I woke up today to find that my scheduled photoshoot was canceled once again
my plan was to use that for my first research shoot
as this did not happen I spent the rest of the day reading and finding out how to use my d700 on my couch
my only subject was my lovely Leelu, who humored me with kitty poses and such
mainly it was a research day of exposures, buttons, ISO, and other tech crap
at the end of the day I spent a long while researching 8bit vs 16bit, resolution, and MORE tech crap
then another hour on working with a new logo
at the end of all that I got this

such a pretty kitty
can’t wait to book a shoot and really test this thing out

working on updates today for the better part of the morning
douchebag neighbor stole my dryer so i had to hang all my clothes in my apt
might be ordering/getting my new Nikon d700 tomorrow
LOTS of new photos uploaded under Music and Architecture
and someone new in my life finally

we will see how all of the above turn out
im hopefully at least

Ive recently begun to get back into things that will hopefully lead me back into freelance work in photography and video
its been awhile since i have put much effort in it at all
just been to busy I guess, though thats not really the case- its mainly been a mental block for me
trying to overcome and get to a creative place again has been hard, but i am slowly coming back to it
right now the biggest holdback is getting new equipment which seems to be a choice of “do i want to spend all the money i have on equipment that i might or might not use”
or
payoff credit cards

i hate that choice as i always make the wrong one and end up further in debt
idk, i am taking my time with the choice this time at least till i am sure
getting help from new friends and old dear friends has helped me alot with my self esteem
hopefully this means good things

OH, and the photo at the top is from my brand new webcam
bought so i can talk to someone who then didn’t want to talk to me
ahhhh irony
