The New Loud met JacenK in Chicago at a Darkroom show. We booked a photo shoot for our next trip to Chicago, which also happened to be at the Darkroom a couple months later.

Jacen is super cool, chill and totally professional. We were really happy with all the photos we got out of the shoot. He did a casual, around Chicago photo shoot with us during the day and shot our show that night.

I've worked with Jacen K several times on photo shoots both in staged/posed environments and in live performance environments. What impressed me the most from even the first time I worked with him is that he is not timid with the camera at all! He's not afraid to try just about anything and he puts you - the subject - at ease by taking his work seriously and you seriously. In the music business, you deal a lot with peoples insecurities and their trepidations about their own image and Jacen puts at ease from moment one. And he does it sincerely. He doesn't do it just because he's getting paid - he does it because he honestly believes in himself and in you the subject. I love his work so much that he is going to be shooting my wedding later this year!
